vintage milliner hot block head millinery mannequin designer tool
A very rare find and a must for any milliner - a millinery hot block for making hats and setting headfittings. I use one of these every day in my millinery work and as this one is surplus to supply I am reluctantly offering if for sale as I have three others. I know how hard these are to come by and I bought it somewhere and I have had it for a very long time maybe 20 years as long as I have been making hat - so it’s time for someone else to get some use out of it. Please look at all the photo’s as these form a major part in the description of this item and all sales are final.
Made by ‘Godfrey’s’ here in Melbourne. Made from very lightweight aluminum material - it is designed so it can sit upright on the desk and comes complete with the original cord and fixing fitting so it can be permanently attached to a desk. I would highly recommend that you have a new cord put on by an electrician BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO USE IT. This will be ok to post as it is not too heavy - but please add an extra $15.00 for postage and if in WA please email us for a quote. No pick up available on this item - if you want it bid on it and we will pack carefully and post - we cannot have pick up on this item.
Head size is 22 which is a very handy size, it stands approx 12 1/2 inches high and in overall very good condition for vintage.
Please bid early or I may decide to keep it - now I’m looking at it I may find a use for it after all ! I will be adding another couple of ‘millinery’ items this week as I am having another mad clean out of the studio.
